Got out yesterday on one of my favorite boats the Seabiscuit, had great weather and good fishing. We ended up with 32 Whit Sea B[beep]and 2 nice Halibut along with limits of reds and grouper. Come join us soon

Got an opportunity to fish on one of my favorite boats the Seabiscuit. The weather was not real great but we did manage to catch some nice fish. Plenty of lingcod, Sheep head, reds and other rockfish and one nice Sea Bass. Looking forward to my next trip

Just got back from 3 days of wonderful fishing in Florida with Capt. Rhett Morris and Capt. Ryan McGee, we caught 13 different species of fish on Big Hammer swim baits and I was lucky enough to get a grand slam on the 3rd day, tarpon, red fish, snook and sea trout. What a wonderful trip and looking forward to the next one. big mike

We have not had a chance to get out much lately, but we finally did last weekend and caught some great Red Snapper, lingcod and Sheephead. Heading for Florida tomorrow to work with the Outdoor Channel and feature out swimbaits. Always remember to book your trips with Big Mike

Sea b[beep]and Halibut

Things are really starting to turn on and the weather is starting to warm up. Saturday 7-31 we were fishing at San Nicholas Island and the Sea b[beep]and Halibut were biting. We only ended up with a few Sea b[beep]and 2 Halibut but they biggest fish was around 30lbs. The red and ling cod fishing was excellent, with full limits coming aboard with limits of large whitefish to go with it. Sunday 8-1 there were 13 Halibut caught up to 40lbs and some bigger fish lost, Things are Finally Looking up. Albacore fishing has been a little slow the last week but a new school of fish was found about 150 miles off the San Diego Landings.

Sea B[beep]Frenzy

Well it finally started to happen, and the White Sea B[beep]are biting. Saturday July 24th, we arrived at Santa Rosa Island at 3am, and started fishing. We had tanks of live squid, and they were all around us. One of the guys on the boat got bit about 3:30 and we were on our way to a Sea B[beep]Frenzy, they came to the boat and eveyone got bit about the same time. We ended up with 16 fish on the boat on that bite, the biggest one about 25lbs. About 1/2 hour later they came back again and we ended up with 21 fish on that bite. A lot of fish were lost due to fishing in the dark, and you could not see your line real well, and then it was just a pick here and there. We ended up the morning with 47 fish, and headed to the rock fish grounds to load up on some nice red snapper and other delicious rock fish. The fish are about 2 months late getting here, so we should have a good bite for a while, come join big mikes fishing charters and enjoy a trip of a lifetime.

This is very cool. I like this website, and I really like Big Mikes Charters. They are always fun and educational.
